How to Jailbreak FireStick and Fire TV

In this tutorial, you will learn how to jailbreak your FireStick and download popular streaming applications that allow you to watch movies, TV shows, live TV, and sports without any cost. This method works with various Fire TV devices such as FireStick Max, FireStick 4K, FireStick Lite, and Fire TV Cube.

The Amazon FireStick is widely known as a popular streaming device. By using this affordable yet feature-rich device, you can transform any regular HDMI-enabled TV into a smart TV effortlessly.

With the FireStick, you can stream videos from numerous online media and entertainment services like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, and various TV networks.

However, there is a significant drawback. Accessing content through these entertainment services requires a subscription fee. Moreover, you might find their monthly charges to be expensive. This is where jailbreaking the FireStick comes into play.

Jailbreaking allows you to acquire third-party streaming applications that grant free access to all your favorite movies, TV shows, live TV channels, sports, and other content.

What does Jailbreaking a Firestick mean?

Jailbreaking a FireStick is a straightforward procedure that grants you the ability to unlock your device and overcome the limitations imposed on it, providing access to a vast array of online content available on the internet.

The process of jailbreaking involves the installation of third-party applications and services that are not officially provided through the Amazon App Store. It should be noted that jailbreaking does not cause any harm to the device, but instead allows you to install virtually any app you desire, granting you unrestricted streaming without any boundaries.

By jailbreaking your FireStick, you gain effortless access to a wide range of online streaming content, unleashing the device’s full potential.

With a jailbroken FireStick, you have the freedom to watch anything you desire, be it movies, TV series, live TV, sports, or virtually any other form of content. You can instantly enjoy your preferred entertainment whenever you wish with a jailbroken FireStick.

Is Jailbreaking a FireStick Safe and Legal?

Jailbreaking the FireStick is both SAFE and LEGAL, as long as you refrain from streaming copyrighted content.

Unlike jailbreaking iOS devices or hacking Android phones, jailbreaking the FireStick is secure because it does not require any modifications to the device’s operating system or system files.

Jailbreaking simply involves enabling the installation of third-party apps that are not available in the Amazon App Store. It does not involve any actual programming of your apps.

Furthermore, jailbreaking does not void the warranty of the device. In fact, Amazon themselves allow the sideloading of these applications.

However, it is important to exercise caution because you are installing apps that have not been officially approved by Amazon, and their credibility and safety may not be guaranteed.

To protect your privacy, it is highly recommended to use a Virtual Private Network (VPN). This ensures the security of your information and sensitive data, as the intentions of third-party app developers are not known.

The majority of the jailbreak apps are unsafe.
When using these jailbreak apps, users should always use a VPN to protect themselves.

We use IPVanish VPN because of their lightning-fast connections, zero-log policy, and optimized applications for Firestick, phones, tablets, laptops, and other streaming devices.

Step to Jailbreaking a FireStick

To enable free streaming on FireStick devices, jailbreaking entails installing third-party APKs. These apps do not exist in the Amazon App Store.

Unlike the way you download apps directly from your android device, Amazon does not allow you to do so. A facilitating application is required to install third-party streaming apps.

Downloader is the name of the app from which we will install all of our jailbreak apps. This is how.

Step 1: Installing Downloader APK on FireStick

Please keep in mind that your home screen may look slightly different depending on the version of the Fire TV OS you’re using.

  •  Navigate to your Amazon Fire TV Stick’s home screen.
  • Scroll to Find and click on Search
  • Type Downloader and scroll down to click it
  • Click on the orange Downloader icon
  • Click on Download and wait for it to complete installation
  • Click Open to launch the Downloader app

Step 2: Allowing installation of unknown apps

To begin the jailbreak process, you must first change a setting on the Fire TV Stick / Cube.

  • To open Settings, click the gear or cog icon in the middle bar on the far right.
  • Scroll down and select My Fire TV

Note: If you don’t see Developer Options, go to Settings > My Fire TV > About.

  • Select Fire TV Stick and click it 7 times to enable Developer Options.
  • Switch On the ADB Debugging (if you are using the 4K Max, go back one step to Developer Options)
  • Click Install unknown apps
  • Click Downloader and turn it On
  •

That’s it! You have successfully ‘jailbroken’ your Firestick device and can download any free streaming app.

How to install a Kodi Build

Now that you have installed Kodi on your device, you need to install a build in order to watch content as you cannot use Kodi by itself.

Builds are fully loaded apps that come with free content such as movies, TV shows, live TV, live games, and more and this is what we are now going to do.

Builds not only come with content but they also change the way Kodi interface appears and there are tons of differnt Kodi builds that you can install depending on your taste and content type.
